You will be captivated by Moustiers Sainte Marie, one of the most beautiful villages in France, clinging to rocks, traversed by the cascade of Maïre.
The name Moustiers comes from monastery, pointing to the many caves inhabited by monks in the fifth century.
Suspended between two rocks, the star: golden and 1.25m, it is said that a knight of Blacas, prisoner of the Saracens during a crusade, vowed, if returned to his country to hang up a chain between two rocks supporting a star.
Under the star, high-pitched Notre-Dame-de-Beauvoir, the ascent by calade is  worth a visit, you can admire the town from above, with the tangle of roofs.
Also do not miss: the Church of Moustiers built in two different periods, Romanesque and Gothic architecture, the walls, the Roman path leading to Courchon, » the spring, fountains and wash houses, the aqueduct.
